Continue reading »]]> In blue-collar Florida, a young man, Bubbs, bides his time working at the local Marina, helping wealthy boaters enjoy a life he cannot attain.  His world’s inhabited by his mother, Mary, his friend, Kenny, and his well-traveled Grandfather, Frank.  Whenever Frank returns to town, on his live-aboard sailboat, Bubbs must secretly visit him, due to Frank and Mary’s twenty-year estrangement.
When Bubbs’s longtime girlfriend dumps him, citing his inability to take action, he considers leaving this small town for the first time.  Kenny and his sister, Corey, make it their mission to cheer Bubbs up by taking him out for a night on the town. By night’s end, Bubbs and Corey will make a romantic connection, further confusing his thoughts and plans.
Bubbs enlists Frank’s help and through many conversations about life and love, Bubbs makes Corey his girlfriend, deals with the fallout from Kenny and calms Mary’s motherly worries.  Surprised Corey isn’t enough to extinguish his dreams of leaving, he shares his thoughts with her and, unfortunately, discovers she doesn’t feel the same.
Uncovering a history of abuse between Corey and her ex-boyfriend, Bubbs fights him, angering Corey.  Coupled with a miscommunication, involving Bubbs’s ex, the two split.  Bubbs finds no sympathy from Kenny, who sides with family.  With these relationships shattered, Bubbs propositions leaving with Frank.  Mary gets word and confronts Frank, railing him for a lifetime of wrongs committed.  The next day, Bubbs finds Frank and his boat gone, having left in the middle of the night.
Ultimately, Bubbs must reconcile the numerous relationships with the family and friends he cares most about and come face-to-face with the decision to either stay for love, leave for adventure or a find a way to combine the two, capitalizing on the best of both worlds.

Seven months have passed since the dead took over. Many cities and states have been abandoned and left to die. Society is trying to create a new order from the chaos. The military has been officially assigned the task of fighting the undead hordes. However several self sufficient hunting groups made up of everyday citizens have been established to take on the zombie threat in a war aptly referred to as the ‘War on Dead’.

In the midst of this global tragedy, media has redefined itself to try and capitalize on the new world order. Jillian Hurst, a former news writer and amateur documentarian, has set out to make a pro-war propaganda film to support the W.O.D. She joins up with a pack of renegade undead hunters known infamously to North America as ‘the DeadHeads’. The moral dynamics and hardships of fighting in a war against the flesh eating undead are told from several different perspectives.

Made up of Christians, atheists and men and women of varying ages, the disparate band of anti-heroes seeks to cleanse the landscape of the undead with each DeadHead motivated by their own personal agendas. Everyday brings the possibility of death and horror, but also offers new bonds that redefine family and friendship.

ITS HOUR COME ROUND-A suspense story, very much in the vein of THE TWILIGHT ZONE. Young librarian Alma (Christina Cupo) returns home from work one night and is attacked by a stranger (Greg Frucci) who seemingly knows all the details of her life. The stranger forces her to accept a proposition that may endanger her husband (Andre Gower, THE MONSTER SQUAD) and several others. After the stranger leaves, Alma spends the rest of the night and the following day descending into confusion and paranoia until she’s forced to confront the source of her fear.

GALATEA-A modern, E.C. Comics take on the Greek myth of “Pygmalion and Galatea”. Arrogant sculptor Malion (Paul Shaw, APRIL FOOL’S DAY) chooses to cut his last stone project into the shape of his ideal female. After becoming dissatisfied with the knowledge that she will never be real, a devious gentleman (Jay Jones) appears and offers to grant him this impossible wish. Malion eagerly accepts, ignoring what price the deal may carry. Malion’s sculpture, Galatea (Jessica Ferguson), does indeed come to life and all of Malion’s desires are fulfilled. Shortly thereafter, things go horribly awry when the gentleman comes back to collect his due.

DAY OF THE LIVING-In the near future, a virus creates a zombie apocalypse that wipes out most of humanity. A group of well-armed survivors fight off waves of zombie attacks from their castle headquarters. Their primary goal is to escape from the castle to the safety of a survivor colony near Atlanta. During an attack, one of the survivors (Darren Dalton, RED DAWN) becomes accidentally infected by the deadly virus, which leaves him with only 18 minutes before he himself turns into one of the undead. After revealing the infection to the others in the group, he decides to arm up and make one last stand against the zombies; allowing his companions the chance to escape. Also starring David H. Stevens (PUNCH DRUNK LOVE), Burgess Jenkins (REMEMBER THE TITANS), and Crystal Largen (CHILDREN OF THE HUNT).

INDOCTRINATION-A twisted, masked reverend (Matthew B. Moore) kidnaps a young man (Nick Staryeu) at gunpoint while preaching his own warped version of salvation. He forces the young man and another hostage (Teddy Jacobs) to endure his hallucinatory sermons in an isolated cabin.
